I have a little twist on the definition of attraction marketing. I heard this recently on a wake-up call with MyLeadSystemPRO. These calls are every day, Monday to Friday at 10:00am. There is an extraordinary leader every single day giving away tips and strategies for your network marketing business and this morning was Diane Hochman, the queen of attraction marketing. She’s been doing this for about 16 years, and is an expert.

A Different Definition of Attraction Marketing

What she said, is attraction marketing is about doing the work when nobody’s watching.

There is work to be done to learn attraction marketing, to start generating leads, to brand yourself, and make money online. A lot of people may talk a good talk, but when nobody’s looking, are they really doing the work?

  • When they put the kids to bed or send them to school,
  • When they take their break at work or
  • On their “downtime” on the weekends.

Are they just drinking some coffee, chatting with their friends, and scrolling through Facebook? Or are they using their smartphone, laptop, tablet or desktop to actually make money?

Use the Nooks and Crannies

What do you do in the nooks and crannies of your day?  I’ve used that saying a lot, “nooks and crannies of your day to build your business”. That means using the tiny bits of time such as

  • When you’re waiting in line somewhere,
  • On a break or lunch at work,
  • 15 minutes before you go to bed
  • Hanging out watching the kids practice sports activities,
  • Or waiting for the clothes to wash and dry.

We all have 24 hours in a day, but most of us don’t realize how much “in between” time we don’t use.  If you ARE using it, you’re actually living out this little twist on the definition of attraction marketing.

Dance (Work) Even If No One is Watching

What seems to happen is we grow up being told what to do all the time. When we’re students in school we’re told exactly what to do, then we go perform when everyone is watching.

As an employee, same thing. You come to work, you do your job, you perform, everyone’s watching. When you go home, you can do whatever you want. You might watch Dancing with the Stars, you might eat cookies, whatever you do. No one’s watching. You’re not being held accountable.

In attraction marketing, you’ve got to learn to be accountable to yourself even when people are not watching. That’s the time you have to do these activities. You’re the only one who is going to push you to make it happen. There’s no one standing over you, there’s no one that’s going to fire you or make you quit.

You’re the one that’s going to make you quit if you don’t do the activities necessary, every single day. They’ve got to be done, usually, when no one is watching. Could be 1:00 in the morning, could be 5:00 in the morning. I’ve been working at both times in my business, in learning attraction marketing.

Attraction marketing is about doing the work when nobody is watching, and no one may even check up on you to see if it’s done.

Look in the mirror: You are your best competition, you’re your own boss, and you need to be the best boss, and the toughest boss, you have ever had if you want to be successful in this area.
