Success is no accident, would you agree?

Recently I was on the MLSP Wake Up Call with Steven Rachel, where he shared these very important traits of successful entrepreneurs.

What is MLSP?  You can check it out here and even get a 10 day, $10 test drive….:)

All successful entrepreneurs share certain traits and qualities, some come by them naturally and others have worked on these traits and gotten better over time.
So as you look down this list, which ones do you have?
If you lack some of them, there’s hope!
You’re an entrepreneur…you can learn anything you put your mind to right?

1. Passion – think Richard Branson, Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Oprah
They all have a passion for what they’re doing . They do what they do because they LOVE it, NOT for the money.

But the money shows up.

Have you ever heard the saying “do what you love and you’ll never work a day in your life?”

Having passion is what that statement is about.

2. Goal Oriented – they have goals and are focused on their goals.

They don’t get distracted by “shiny object” syndrome, they don’t go chasing rabbits. They put blinders on, dig in and keep going for it, LONG after others may have quit.

Do they always reach their goals when they planned? maybe not, but they don’t quit, they re-adjust and set a new goal and keep going…

3. Delay Gratification – in our fast-paced, microwave world this one may seem a bit foreign.

We want what we want and we want it now because we’ve become so accustomed to having it.

In home business, this is what can get company’s in trouble, by making crazy income statements to prospective business partners.

Have you ever heard of a Subway franchise turning a profit in 90 days, much less making a six-figure net income? exactly, so why do some leaders in our profession throw out crazy claims like that?

This is a business and it can take some time. If you treat it like a business, with your long term goal in mind, you will create business income.

4. Good Communication Skills – All great entrepreneurs have stellar communication skills.

They know how to deliver a clear message to their audience with conviction.

This might be in person, on a webinar, in front of a room, on a video, blog post, etc. They know who their target is and they know how to speak exactly to them, even using the same words and phrases.  You know you’ve done a great job at this when someone says “wow, you just read my mind.”  Congrats, you just demonstrated that you are a successful entrepreneur!

5. Courage – Every successful entrepreneur has courage and lots of it. They face fear down every single day by taking action against it. Some may think that they don’t experience fear, which is untrue. They just punch it in the face, push through and keep going.

6. Belief – they have incredible, unshakeable belief – in themselves and whatever they are doing.

The biggest is the belief in themselves, that they can accomplish what they set out to do. They also believe their cause is worth fighting for and they will keep fighting because their belief is 10 feet tall and bulletproof.

Here’s my post on how to increase your belief and become a more successful entrepreneur.

7. Innovative – Successful entrepreneurs are very innovative.

They usually are asking themselves “how can I stand out?”, or “what makes me different that I can share?”

Especially in the online marketing world, by you being authentic and unique, you’ll find there are people who resonate with you, like no one else and that’s who you’ll connect with and be able to bring massive value to…and that means lots of income.

Your income is only a reflection of how much value you are bringing to others.

8. Resourceful – All successful entrepreneurs are resourceful.

They take advantage of what they have RIGHT NOW to reach their goal and build their business.

They don’t wait on others or use technology as an excuse, rather they find a way…over, under, around, or through the obstacle.

They take personal responsibility and take action as outlined in my post here.

I have a saying for the online world: Don’t know how to do it? Google it!

You can find ANYTHING on the wonderful wide internet world, just ask!

Here’s is my recent Periscope on this topic, hope you enjoy.  Not following me on Periscope yet?  You can here…
